Trail Riding

What is better for trail riding a shorter wheel base or a longer one, I was thinking about going plus 2 on the swing arm. Also what is a good brand to purchase, that is not priced way out there. THANKS

Personally I think the stock swingarm is ideal for trail riding. The longer you go the harder it is to make tighter turns as well as lift up the front end to clear obstacles. A +2 is not going to kill your trail riding experience however.
What are you looking to gain by going with a longer swingarm? Most guys go with a longer swingarm when they start adding mucho HP for drag racing. It doesn't sound like you are doing either of the two.

Stay with the stocker, I have a +4 and it doesnt trail very well. Awsome in the sand though. I dont know if you would notice much difference with a + 2. might not be worth the money. As far as brand I have a Ace Fabrications I have had zero problems and its very stong. I have pounded it really hard with no damage and the price is right.

I was going to suggest that to, But when Donal and I had our swing arms built by Ace, Donal had to send him his stock swingarm so he could get the pivot tube correct. He hadn't built any yet for the newer models. I think Donal's is an 04 mines and 05 I guess there some difference in the pivot tubes from the earlier models. I see Jmac650 that yours fit from 03 to an 04. Bioware, I would double check to see if prior models will fit your 05 before you buy one. Just my .02 better safe than sorry.
