OT - no more tent for me....
#1
Well okay, I haven't been on much lately. I miss all the good conversations and information, but it is coming up on hunting season, so I've been scouting and still riding the '05 700 EFI.
Well anyways, I just bought a 2004 R-Vision Trail Cruiser Travel Trailer. Its 19 foot with a queen size bed and table folds down to another bed. Has torsion suspension, although I plan on giving it a lift kit to get it up some so when I'm in the whoops I don't drag the rear end. It also has air conditioning and heater, as well as Microwave/Convection Oven...and stove, fridge, etc......and of course a bathroom, which I'll only use the shower when hunting. The trailer is absolutely like new, doens't look like it was ever used.
So, I'll still be taking the tent along for spike camps...but my main sleeping will be in the camper.
I guess the idea of the trailer was that it was easier to be loaded early and ready to go and only have to put the food and ice in last. The ATV will go in the back of the truck. I can lock the trailer while out hunting and I'll also leave my Rottweiler in there while out hunting....it should be cool enough in the mountains in the shade. My hardest part will be to get it out to where I elk hunt. We took a Class C motorhome back in there a couple of years ago, so shouldn't be too bad getting this in there.
Oh well, take care and everyone ride safe and good luck to you hunters this year.
