Default problem with throttle after rejeting

sorry hit the wrong button

i rejetted my carb today, and after i put it all back together, when i turn to the left, the engine revs

i cheked to see if the cable was pinched by the gas tank, but it still does it with the tank unbolted, and pulled forward

it got better (but still does it) after adjusting the cable at the throttle

Default problem with throttle after rejeting

also, the bike is more slugish after i rejeted, than before

i used a 160 main,,,,,forth clip on the needle,,,,,and 2 1/2 turns on the mixture

im running a Dubach muffler,,,with a K&N pro flow airbox lid off

the instructions said to use a 155 main with an after market pipe, but had no suggestion with the air system with airbox lid removed,so thats why i used the 160 main

any help would be greatly appreciated

also i forgot to mention that, the instructions said to reuse the stock spring, that the spring they supplied was just incase the stock one had been misplaced,,,,but the one in the kit was shorter than the stock one

i do have the outer wear on,and the airbox lid is off,,,,i have 6 uni vents on the way

i will go back in,and put the spring in that came with the kit,and try the 155 jet

i just dont see where the spring could be causing the engine to rev when i turn the handle bars to the left

Re-route your throttle cable if you can thats what is causeing it. Probly when you had it apart the cable got hung up on something and is pulling the throttle open when you turn to the left. Mine did the same thing.

you are extremely lean with the airbox lid off. I am running 12 uni vents in the lid and I am running a 175 dj. You really need to put it back on before you destroy your engine. Don't fall into the trap of trying to use a huge mikuni jet with the dyno jet needle either. Order larger jets from dyno jet if you decide to keep running it without the airbox lid. You will need to start with a 180dj and maybe go up from there. I would order 175, 180, 185, 190, 195, and 200 if they sell them that big. I would also run the 5th notch from the blunt end of the needle to keep it from being lean in the mid range.
Your throttle cable may be crossed with the choke cable, shortening both.

i ordered 6 Uni vents, and their on their way,,,so i should start with a 180 mj? and the 5th notch?

i havnt run it except for a quick ride to the corner, and back, and i took it apart today again, but it got so stinking hot,i couldnt bear it outside anymore

i'll order the new jets, but i was planing to install the uni vents as soon as they arrive

thanx Batman
