Default 2005 700 Sportmsman Winch

Finally got a kit from Polaris (Pure Polaris Warn 2500 Winch kit) for my bike and was wondering if it as easy as they say to put on the bike? Says it hooks up in minutes. Doesn't look like it the while going over the directions. Does anyone have any helpful hints when I start. Thanks Kerry

if it was anything like my winch it wasnt too bad, you have to take off the front grill, and rack to make it easier.

Where does the Contactor mount on these pre-wired models? When I mounted mine on my '04 they tell you to mount by battery but I mounted mine under hood next to relay pod.

There is a tray that comes off under the right fender where the contactor mounts. It says it takes minutes to install complete system which is about 45mins.

About 45 minutes for mine, which included 'teaching' time for my son. Pre-wired cable by the battery was a little hard to find on mine, so a real straight forward install.
I'd ride around without the bumper cover for awhile before cutting it. The winch is way more accessable without the cover on, and also looks better IMO.
Happy riding\Mark

it takes more than minutes...the prewiring they talk about is minimal...if you are doing it for the first time, it will take a couple of hours....its not hard, but takes awhile....it took me a couple of hours, but I made sure all the cables were tie wrapped and everything was nice and neat....

Sounds like a lot easier than Pre-'05's though. I had to tear a lot down with my my '04.5. Lot of tie straps and wire looming as well. I relocated my contactor next to fuse block up front so had to tap mounting holes for that as well.
