now that the new scramblers have orange plastic I must find another color that wasn't offered on a scrambler. any other gen 3 colors that scramblers never had beside yellow? I'd rather have yellow but have never seen any gen 3 in yellow. gotta be different that's just how I am.

Yes yellow has been offered on at least three occasions. The 03' Tblazer 400 and 250 were yellow. I know I saw a 97 or 98 Scrambler with yellow plastic on ebay. Not sure if it was newer plastic on an older quad, but it was a Scrammy.

Scramblers/400 sports/Trailblazers are all Gen 3 and were offered in the following colors:
Yellow, Black, Blue Met, White, Orange, Red, Purple and the Freedom Series which were Red, White and Blue. These are all fender colors the seats and front cowl were for the most part black, red or yellow.
When I put new plastics on my Scrambler I went with the Blue with the 98 500 Graphics which are a checkered Flag with a red/orange flame pretty cool looking. Hope this helps.

I know you can get the plastic in grey and as far as I know a grey one has not been offered by Polaris yet.

I think the Freedom editions were 2001 models. The plastic was actually red in the front and blue for the rear fenders and the decals blended the two together. I never actually have seen a Scrambler freedom in person only pics. Looked pretty cool.
