Default 400EX Axle Seals

I loosened the four bolts on the rear of the swingarm to adjust my chain and when I loosened them I noticed that water was dripping out from the inside of the housing where the carrier is. Obviously a seal must be blown or something. I let the water drip until it stopped, I'm pretty sure that's not every last bit of it though. I figure I'm gonna have to replace my bearings and seals now right? Has anyone else had this problem before and if so what did you end up doing?

I've had this problem from the first time I adjusted my chain. I think water just gathers there. 5 years and no problems for me.

water can get in there. the bearings are also sealed you. I would not worry till the bearings go bad.

The water is sitting outside of the bearing carrier - meaning it is in between the swingarm and the carrier. It has no impact on the bearings or seals.
