My dealer told me i was getting an 05 DS, but after ordering a CDI, jet kit, exuast, and K&N filter he informed me i was getting an 06 right off the production line. I not complaining about the update on the year, just wondering if every thing will still work. i have not read on this forum of any 06's out yet. He told me it would be here in a 2 weeks. Probly feeding me a line of crap on the time frame, but o well already paid cash for the quad.

 

I haven't heard od an 06 DS650 coming out. Nevertheless I would ask the dealer if there are any changes in the 06 that would effect your previous purchases.

 

i am not sure the 06 are even in production yet you should double check with them..

unless you are waiting for months for it, when is your deliver date?

 

I read an article last night in ATV Sport mag.
It was on the '06 DS 650X.
No changes from the "05X so you should be good to go with your add-ons.
The article did say that the X was the only DS being offered in '06.

 

The dealership told me 2 weeks from last friday. So probably around the 28th of august is what they told me. You guys on this forum know alot more about the DS, so let me know if i need to confront them on the delivery date.

 

Man, the same exact thing happened to me in '04. I went down and paid for my new DS and the dealership did not have one in stock, so it had to be ordered. I bought a HMF pipe, jet kit, shock covers, and skid plates. Well I was informed that I was getting a '05 so I called to make sure that the parts would fit, and was told "No Problem". Well when my bike came in the pipe and jet kit fit fine, but none of my skid plates would fit. And then it took a year for a company to make them. As a matter of fact I just got my belly pan about 3 months ago.

The way i understood the article was the ds650x sport was the only one that they were gonna produce in 2006. In 2006 they are producing the outlander h o efi 800 4x4 and the outlander 400 h o the ds650x sport, rally200, ds90 ds90 4 stroke and a ds50 these are the 2006 models.

 

I have an 06 and they are the same. I have had mine for over a month now and love it.
