Default MRHP 46hvpj carb??

Does anyone have performance info on this carb? Also, i need a carb that once it is properly tuned you dont have to keep messing with it. I need reliability. I do some trail riding & straight drag racing on dirt roads. would this be a noticable upgrade for my ds. I would also order the full race intake at the same time. My other upgrades are K&N filter, jet kit, full big gun exauhst & big gun rev limter. thanks for any advice.

All I can tell you is to do research (search this forum for 46hv). I dont have the carb (have considered it like 4 times though...lol) but there are a few issues with the hv that you may not have a problem with at all, or you may dislike totally. (slide stick, low throttle drivability etc).

I have had a 46HV Lectrron for last last few years. I believe it is the best carb for the DS650. My bike pulls very strong and reves like a 2-stroke. I will tell you, and there are a lot of other people that have had problems with the thottle sticking. All these problems were related to poor cable desin and improper cable routing. After I figured it out, mine has been trouble free for over a year now and the throttle is butter smooth.

You will not find an easier carb to tune if it was not perfect out of the box when you get it from MR. HP
I can re-jet and be running by the time you dig out your jets for the Minuki carb.

The last thing I have to offer is that you will not find any better service in the industry then you get from the guys at Mr. Hp (Thanks Eric and Randell). These guys go over the top to make sure your stuff is working the best it can.

Bone,
I have an extra 46HV with Moose thumb throttle and cable tuned by MrHP for sale. PM me if you intersted. It is setup for your mods and would require very little tuning if any. I will be bringing it to DS Days if anyone is interested in it.

Does anybody have a diagram/picture of the way Mr HP suggests the cable be routed. I am having all holy hell with mine, I have 48hv, moose thumb throttle, and the stainless cable from Mr. HP.
