Default LT 500 Quadracer Waterpump seals

Anyone have any tips on how to install them. I picked the seals up today and they don't look like a normal waterpump seal

You should have an oil seal and a mechanical seal. First remove your clutch cover. Then remove your water pump cover. remove the nut holding the impeller it is a Left Handed Thread ! You can pry it off with a screw driver but be gentle. Then place the cover on the ground and drive out the shaft with a plastic hammer or block of wood and hammer. then inspect the shaft and bearing. First remove the oil seal from the inside of the cover.ou can then drive out the mechanical seal with the proper sized socket. reinstall new one with socket and use a socket to drive the shaft back in. reinstall impeller.

i remove the waterpump cover first then remove the bolt holding on the impeller. then remove the clutch cover.

when you install the mechanical seal you should put a little gasket sealer around it before you put it in the case.
