Default F@#%ing dealers and their hidden costs!

I've been looking into purchasing a second quad so the little woman and I can ride together without going 2up on the Outlander and its unreal the kind of crap that dealers try to pull with stuff like "prep" and "set up" fees.

One dealer I went to advertised remaining '04 Z250's as $2899 - must go! Well, when it was all said and done, the price out the door was $3700. "Must go" indeed, I thought, as in I "must go" somewhere else. Then I see an ad in the paper for an Ozark, "$2599 - only one at this price, HURRY!". Well, hurry I did -only to be told that the price out the door was actually $3700. Lets see - thats the same as the Z250 that was allegedly $300 more, and all that being said you're trying to tell me that tax and prep fees should total $1100? I'd say that's a little excessive.

There were no BS fees when I bought my Bombardier. I guess its either used or nothing [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]

The way to do the deal is let your fingers do the walking. When I bought my Bomb I went to my local dealer and talked to them first. They would not come down off of sticker AND they had a 300 bone set-up fee. I gave them a minute to deal or else. They didn't so I walked. I took 3 hours to call every dealer in a 150 mile radius. That 3 hours worth of work saved me..........get this.........$1200!!!!!! Hmmmmmm $400 an hour. Not bad for 3 hours worth of work.

I also found out from the dealer that I bought from that Bombs come FULLY assembled!!! There is no set-up, unless you say putting a battery, oil and gas in the tank set-up!!!!

ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS ask for out the door price. Other-wise they can scam you. Some dealers won't deal over the phone. That's fine with me. I don't deal with dealers that don't.
