Default Are 28" tires too big for a Honda Foreman??

I am looking to buy a '03 Foreman, and it has 28" tires on the front and rear. Is that going to be too big, or will I have problems out of it? Will they rub or anything like that? It has wheel spacers if that makes a difference. If not, what are they? The guy that owns it said he made a snorkel for it, but I want to get rid of it. When making a snorkel, do you have to cut anything? Basically, can I just remove it without any problems?

Thanks,
JE

Where on the plastic are you talking about? The exterior panels or the airbox?Either way if it's been cut i'll probably not be interested anymore.
Thanks,
JE

28's with no lift are probably rubbing...the snorkle needs a hole cut in the fender under the rack for the pipe to come up, and a little trimming in the inside fender. No big deal...if its a good job done on it, I'd leave the snorkle on it. I just fininshed one for mine and it works great.

It says in the add that it does have a lift kit.Does that eliminate the rubbing?
Thanks,

Pretty much, and if it has wheel spacers too then I highly doubt there's any problems.

If your looking at buying, have a buddy lift up the quad and shake every wheel to check for worn wheel bearings. Bigger tires will wear bearings faster. They're not overly hard or expensive to replace, but it could be a point to haggle the price down a little. Also ride the bike in 4wd and make very sharp slow turns. If you hear any ckicking from the front end, there may be a side axle on its way out.

Hey man thanks for the tips.I'll definatly check those things whenever I get ready to buy.Apparently the guy with the above Foreman must have sold it because all of the sudden I can't get a hold of him at all.Oh well,i'm sure i'll find another.I was a little hesitant about that one anyways.Made my decision easy.
Thanks again,
JE

You can turn them but will need a full things. Uni, jet kit, hmf utility, body lift and snorkel. That will wake your quad up, and give you more ground clearence and ability to get through the nasty stuff.
