Raced and tied the new Raptor 700R

Raced him several times at Pismo this weekend at the flats. I believe he was stock. I have only a MR HP end cap and K&N but a 14th front spocket. We were neck and neck after several races. We looked to weigh about the same as well.

I ate a 700 on the top end was pretty wild in about an 1/8 i had him by at least three quad lenghts on about four runs - still stock only a K&N when I ran him now with a Vortex I am interested in a rerun now that I can rev to his range

SJRDkevlar Your geared too low. Go get on a 10 speed bicycle put it in first and try to accelerate, your feet do a lot of moving but you don't . next put it up a gear or two you pull a lot harder and faster, your makeing use of the torque of your legs. Been there done that . Gear up and race him again.

I'm not that into top end, in the dunes I rarely get into 5th gear. 2nd gear launches dont work with me. I'm 250lbs and with 22 rears. Bog city. The flats at Pismo have just a slight uphill, maybe 2 or 3 degrees.

Couldn't hurt to try a 15T in front. It's what I use and I run the Dunes as well.
