Does anyone know for sure if a CDI from an '03 Baja DS650 will work on a 2000 DS650 without causing any problems. I'm pretty sure the only difference is the higher rev limiter on the Baja model. Any help would be appreciated.

 

I belive the plug is diffrent. 00-02 had wires and pigtail coming from the box. Later models had the plugin directly to the box.

 

I rememeber reading somewhere that the plug is different or the wiring to the plug ,But I'm not sure .

 

I believe that is correct, there are two versions of the plug. Vortex sells two different models (VT-7200 & VT-7400) based on the model year.
