#1
i have a 96 polaris explorer 300 4x4 with 22 inch tires on the front and 24s on the back. i was wondering what i would have to do to put 25s on all the way around. i know that it is chain driven and didnt know if i would have to re gear it, if so what tooth gears would i have to change to or is it fine with no changes. thanks

I no loner have the the ATV but I believe I changed the rear drive sprocket from a 12 tooth to an 11 and the front outside sprocket(the one closest to you on the throttle side.) from a 21 tooth to a 24 tooth. I am not sure if it works out to be perfect but was close. You will need a longer intermediate chain in the front and you should be able to take up the slack with adjustment in the back. Hope this helps.

I didn't change a thing, my 93 250 4x4 has 25in tires front and rear. I plow and play, remember on demand 4 wheel drive only is locked up when the rears spin faster than the front. Put the tires on and away you go.
Mine also had 22 fronts and 24 rears.
