Kodiak 450 vs. King Quad 700
#1
Still new to the forum and soaking up as much info as I can. I have a choice between the 2005 Kodiak 450 and a 2005 King Quad 700. I can get the Kodiak for $6,400 out the door. The King Quad is $6,800 out the door. Which would you guys recommend. I like the size of the Kodiak, but the King Quad with the fuel injection and 700cc motor is kind of hard to pass up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will be using it for helping out around the house with horses and keeping up with my buddies who have a couple of raptors and a honda motorcycle. Pro and Cons....

Thanks for the info, the only thing I was thinking about was the size of the King Quad when trying to ride on the smaller trails.
I appreciate the quick response. Thanks again Skippy

The Kodiak doesn't compare to the KQ, this isn't a very fair comparison, KQ is much more powerful and has much more inovation, so you should definitely go with the KQ. You'll definitely need the KQ if you want to, at the most, keep up with a Raptor, but forget about keeping up with any dirt bike. I garentee the KQ is loads faster than the Kodiak and it's WELL worth the extra money and 6800 is a good price for the KQ. I just moved up from a 425cc quad to the KQ and the difference is like night and day, the KQ doesn't fill like a utility quad, but it is a great worker with tons of torque in Low gear for pulling stuff, I guess that's why they call it a sport-ute!
KQ
Pros- Very fast for a utility, EFI, front diff. lock, great suspension, great MPG.
Cons- Some body roll in sharp fast turns, front and rear racks are very small and can't hold much weight.
I don't know Pros and Cons for the Kodiak except for the 421cc vs. 695cc engine comparsion.
