Hey guys im new to the board Im 17 years old and grew up on ATV's. Anyway my dad bought a 95 Magnum 425 new in October 94. The atv is 6 years old now and has about 10,500 miles on it, better yet the engines never been touched theres been alot of other work done to it but i think this is amazing for polaris first 4cycle to last this long, and out of the miles its been to hell and back rolling many times and up and down hills running into cattle anyone else have this many miles?

 

I have a feeling you are going to keep your title on this one...that's a lot of miles!

I only have about 2100 on my 1998 and 1100 on my 2000...

Keep it up to 20,000...

 

wow there is a guy around here that has 15000 miles on his 1996 Xpress 300, not much work done to his at all, new tires and brakes is all. They run for ever , allot of people have in the 5-8000 miles range that i have met this summer. i have 1700 on my SP and am keeping it till 10,000 at least.

 

I made a post a while back about some Mennonites who use their ATV for farming more than their trucks. They average 8500 miles per year.

 

I have a retired friend with a 1991 Trail Boss 350 4X4 he bought new. He put in a new piston & rings last winter "just because it had a lot of miles on it", nearly 20,000 miles. He said the cylinder had almost no sign of wear so he didnt bore it, just put in a new stock piston & rings. That shows what good care & maintance does.
