I'm looking for some ideas to make my Blaster quicker. I've got an FMF Powercore II pipe, G3 reed kit, drilled air box, K&N filter. What can I add to get some more speed?

 

Get a engine kit for it. I believe they make a kit a little above 400, like a 420 or something do some research on it.

 

Your next move should be a larger carb. THe Blaster carb is very restrictive. This will entail going to an oil pump eliminator and mixed gas too. You will feel a very big change with a bigger carb, like a 30mm from Trenga or something comparable. After that, then send your cylinder & head off for porting, there are several good places out there that'll do it for under $200. Once you have all that done you'll be running like you wouldn't have ever thought.

 

I do have an oil injection block off kit and am running mixed gas. Forgot to mention that. So a bigger carb should go on my list?

 

That's your very first move at this point. I happen to have a 30mm from Trenga that I might be parting with if you're interested. Gonna do more engine upgrades on ours this winter so I'll be upsizing even more.

Could you be mistaken? If not, please tell me who might make these.

My son is looking into modding his blaster also.

 

Most kits out there are a 240cc stroker kit.

 

how do you like the G3 reeds. Did they make a difference?
