Default ID my Timberwolf' so I can get parts?

Hello All,
I recently picked up a Yamaha Timberwolf. I've spent the better part of the night trying to figure out what year it is. I went to Yamaha's web site and opened 5 pages comparing the different models parts and all I learned is from 93 to 97 there pretty much the same. I think it's a 96 or 97 but could be wrong and besides I need to know for sure. It's red with front and rear racks. The Timberwolf decal on the tank is gold and black. It's both electric and pull start. I don't know why Yamaha feels the need to hide the #'s? The only #'s I can find are on the motor and they are 4BD-210147. Use to be you could find the #'s on the frame on the neck or by the foot pegs but I sure can't find them on this one? Next post will be for parts I need but have to find out what year it is first.
Thanks! for any help!!

vin number should be behind the left front tire on the bottom bar of the frame, if your looking at it from the side

Did not think it matters for parts, the Timberwolf never changed, they made a 4x4 model in 1998 to 2000 then the Beartracker replaced it.I think the that was only a name change.
Basically any 2wd Timberwolf should have the parts you need.
