Honda/Yamaha bolt pattern
#1
Here goes.. Will my c series aluminum rims for Honda fit the new Yamaha Griz 660
bolt pattern. I know they are both 4 bolt, and I think they will fit, but I know that
some of you know for sure.
What I have are some 26" Titan 588 m/t tires on ITP C series rims and they are
in good shape. I want to trade up, and use the tires and rims on a new Yama.

As far as I know both Honda and Yamaha use the 4/110, and Kawi uses it as well on the Brute 750. Bomb uses a 4/137 on the outlander just like the prarrie and mules. Polaris normaly uses a 4/156
Yes they should fit.

Thanks I thought that they would, I bought some 26 inch titan 589s a year or so ago,
and put them on my Honda trx300fw. They did what I wanted, and that was get some
ground clearance, but they really did rob alot of power. I am now planning on getting
a new Griz, and swapping the tires, and rims. I think both atvs will benefit. I am
keeping the older HOnda for a spare, and for some of my friends so we don't have to
ride double all the time.

The bolt pattern is the same between the two, the front offsets are identical, but the rears are way different. The rear end of the Honda (and most solid rear axle bikes) is much narrower than the IRS grizz. When the Honda wheels are bolted to the Grizz they will stick way off the side of hte bike. This does 2 things, they will kick mud everywhere, and they wont eveny distrubite the weight of the bike over the bearings causing them to fail early.
Offset (or backspace) can be measured by taking a straight edge and laying it from lip to lip accross the diameter of the rim, and then measuring to the surface that mounts to the hub.
