Default Fuel economy on new 500's

I have a new 06 500 LE and have 166 miles on it now. When I went riding last weekend the odometer
showed I went 62 miles on less than a half a tank. I did jet it down to a 135 main jet and set the fuel screw
at 1/2 a turn. What is everyone else seeing for fuel economy.

im getting around 100 miles. ive got 2500 miles on it but i havent touched any screws or jet it. i think i could be getting more though. i believe my gas gauge is lying to me. when it says im empty, and i go fill it up at the gas station, i only put about 2.5 gallons in it and i know the tank is at least 4 gallons .

What year 500 do you have and what size is the fuel tank?

Those fuel tanks that sit up by your nuts are never accurate. When I had my 400 I would ride all day, gauge would say I was empty and when I filled up it only took 2 gallons. (Old style tanks were 4.8 total gallons). I love the new bigger ones in the rear. Wait a minute, that last sentance doesn't sound right...

Good thing you caught yourself on that last sentence Catterman! Might just be enough cause to raise an eyebrow a bit. :-)
