I took off the cover for the Concentric Drive System to check the belt, just for some regular service checking. How much play should the belt have. The inside cover had some light scratches on it from the belt slapping against it is this normal?

its normal for the belt to rub a little. as long as the cover is off blow the clutches out with compressed air.

Ok, first it is the Polaris Continuasly Varible Transmission (PVT). And you took the "clutch" cover off. I dont know what to shim it to. It should say in your "AWESOME" (HAHA) owners manual. I think the play is different on models with and with out EBS. Mine has EBS. SO i cant help you. Sorry, but at least now you know what to call the Tranny
