My local Honda dealer has brand new '05 2X4 Ranchers (not ES) for $3695.00. Is this a good price? He also has '05 Recons for $2999.00.

that is a great price if I could have got a 350 for that price I wouldnt have goten the recon but I paid 3200 for the recon two weeks ago. I seen adv. for 2999 and the dealer told me that was his cost and he showed me the book that tells him how much he pays for the atvs so the dealer must be selling them at his cost to get rid of them. I would buy the 350 if it is that cheap

Thanks tons for the info. Sounds like I should go get it. I'll head to the dealer when this stinkin' hurricane gets out of here.

Thanks! So far we're okay with the hurricane. Just winds of about 40-50 mph and lots of rain. Katrina missed us on the right and it looks like Rita will miss us on the left. I think we've had enough of this scenario. Time to start looking to move out of this area.

My dealer has been running ads for the last month for Rancher TM 3399 and Recon TM for 2499. The only drawback is that they were selling them so fast they didn't have much of a selection. They also had Rancher FM for 3799.

Thanks for that info. It sounds like there's a better deal out there still.

That's a GREAT price, my god! I wish I lived out there-Prices are pretty high here on the east coast.
I just bought an '05 Foreman 2x4 for 4892.00 out the door- the price for the 2x4 Foreman here in Baltimore is in the high 5100.00 range. My buddy went to 3 dealers looking for either a(05) Rancher or a Foreman, & the last one he went to only had the Foreman, & they went as low as 4892 out the door.
When I saw his bike, I was totally impressed(I have a '00 Lakota)- A week later I was at the same dealer buying bike parts & saw another 2x4 Foreman on the floor, asked the salesman if he'd go 4892 out the door & he said yes. I'm VERY happy w/ this bike, it's a tank. I did, however want the rancher2x4 origionally, but there were none, so I opted for the TRX500TM it's bullet proof!
Good luck!

Yeah, thats a great price. I think Honda is trying to blow out all 05's, the dealer is probably getting some cash back from the factory. I got my Rincon recently for $1500 off MSRP which is pretty good IMO.

Sounds kind of high, the place where i bought my 2005 Foreman 500 ES sells the Rancher 2x4 Manual for 3149.99 and does not charge tax if you are not a resident of Mississippi.
