I have a 2000 400ex with pipe/silencer jeted carb that all i got done to my quad a buddy of mine just told me hes buddy what talkin how bad 400ex there so slow my Question is will a stock z400 beat a 400ex? i can hold my owe on a stock 660 but dont no much about the z400 any info?

 

To answer your question YES. A stock z400 should be able to beat a stock 400ex. Also, you shouldn't be able to keep up with a Raptor (if that's what you're talking about when you say 660) unless you mean a grizzly. However, that doesn't mean the 400ex is slow, and that it isn't a good bike. They can be made to run with raptors and even after you do so they will still be as reliable as them. If you can't tell. I'm biased

 

yes what i ment is a 660 Raptor i raced a mouth ago i have 5 of my buddys the then didnt think i would win but i stayed right next to him. i have race many of the Raptor and stayed with them. is the z400 faster then the Raptor660? my 400ex got the pipe/silencer jeted carb and a cdi box.

 

No the Z is not faster in stock for than a raptor 660.

 

my wifes stock z will smoke my piped and jetted 400ex. i have beat 660 on a small flat track but never in a drag race i have always loved honda and thouht suzukis were lame until i rode that z400 it is a very good quad. i still love riding my 400ex even if it is slower than a z400

 

i would be willing to bet that the z400 would still win, i love honda but they need to stop depending on reliability

 

I used to drag my 400ex till I bought a rappy. Stock to stock the ex doesn't stand a chance, piped to piped still don't stand a chance. I could take piped and filtered z by 2 to 3 quads across the dunes but I have Filtered, stage 1 cam, cdi, complete exhauset system. A rider could change both of those though.

I road a z400 last year i didnt like it it was new and flet slower then my 400. if that guy gos ridin this weekin i might go and find out who will win.

 

befor i made my 400 an 440ex i had pipe filter n 450r carb n i smoked z400 wasnt even a race
