second quad for the "little" lady
#1
Allright I need to get a quad for my woman to ride, or I need to get one for myself and give her mine heh heh. I have a 2003 Kodiak and I'm very happy with the machine, but every once in a while it'd be nice to have something a little quicker.
My girl and I are big people I'm 300lbs and she's about 250 (I'll be in trouble if she reads this!!).
Part of me likes a carb. part of me likes EFI.
Grizz, King Quad, ????
I'd like to hear your ideas.

If you want to stay with Utility style.. Take a look at what Bombardier has.. I just pick up a new 06 Outlander 400 XT. You can see a pic of it in my pictures..
She loves it.. If you really want to go big, look at the 800 EFI...
Just some thoughts...

You definately need a bigger machine. I'm very fond of the Grizzly in fact both my wife and I have one. I was going to get her a Kodiak but she took the Grizzly for a ride and wouldn't get off of it.
Unless you do some extreme altitude changes, EFI isn't all that important. In the next year or two I would bet that most of the big bore quads are going to have EFI anyway.

The Polaris 800 EFI (760cc) isn't very reliable from what I've heard from a few people, and Polaris' are just known to be "high maintance." I'm not saying everyone's 800 efi isn't reliable it's just the ones that had problems were lemons. You definitly shouldn't get a Bomb 400 if it cost's $6900 otd, you can get a King Quad 700 EFI or Grizzly for somewhere around that price, and they will drive all over it. The King Quad is an improved Grizzly for around the same price, so you should get the King Quad, it's great.
So if you get a new quad, it's for her..not for you?
