Those little 229cc engines can be sporty and fun, but thet are a bit low on power. Having a clutch gives the rider more control over engine rpm, and can give you access to more power for takeoffs, hillclimbs, cornering, etc. This system is a great stepping stone for anyone that wants a true sport quad w/ clutch, but is intimidated at the thought of learning how to use one. If someone is just starting out in the atv/motorcycle world, you can shift it like the old 250EX and not use the clutch. As rider skill and confidence grows, the atv will accomodate them with clutching ability. I really am surprised none of the major manufacturers haven't offered this before, as it would be a major selling point to me if I was looking for something in this class.

not only can you shift with it or without it but if you let out the clutch too fast from takeoff it will not stall...it cant.

I know that if Honda had a bigger bike with something like this on it I would have bought it.

It sure is a good thing for the mechanics because people will be using it all the time and if Honda did not beef up the clutch any it will wear out much quicker than a machine that is made with a manual clutch, but yeah it is a great idea for anyone from a novice learing how to ride to a rider that is all about performance it will add lots of fun to any riding situation.
