i need some tires for my rancher 400. i went to a local dealership (www.teampowersports.com) , they said i could go with the 27 mud lites but i dont wont tires that big. maybe some 25 mudlite xls, 25 mudzillas, 26 trailmasters, or 26 vampires. which everone i get, im get the itp type 6 wheels, so rim size dosent matter. what should i do, and i also wont to keep my fourwheeler in good condition. i dont wont tires thats goina make the bearings go out in a week or messin n e thing else up. thanks

I run 25" Holeshot ATR's on ITP rims.
The AT has a reputation for being underpowered on the low end, so I wouldn't go to tall if that has been your experience. It will raise your effective gearing and you will lose low end.

Ive been in holes where first gear bogs down with the stockers on. Going to a 25" mudlite shouldnt be a problem though but I wouldnt want to put on a huge 25" mudtire like a mudzilla just cause when you enter a hole unless you enter in 1st screaming your gonna bog sooo bad. Ive also seen some cases on honda 450's where they have run a bigger agressive tire and his front diff actually came loose off the frame mount like ripped off

I am thinkin of getting some 25 mudbugs now, they will be ok wont they? The only reason i dont get mudlite xl's is that they dont make my back a tire that fits my back rim. And i also dont wont to have to spend money for a kit or have to swap rims with a foreman, rubicon, ect..
