Quick question here, A friend of mine recently purchased what apears to be a oldschool Honda 300ex with an ATC 350X engine. The main problem with this bike is that the bearing carrier is shot and needs to be replaced. I need to know if a 400ex, or a 250R bearings carrier will fit, and work inside a 300ex swingarm houseing? From looking at pictures on the net, they look the same but I have been told thats its not. If not, other then a 300ex carrier, what will fit and work for this bike I would like to get it running for a little fundage as possible.

A 250r or 400ex carrier wont fit. They are wider. One from a last year 200x or 350x will though.
