Have any of you Sport/Scrambler riders tried wheel spacers. Now I ride semi-hard but not like a maniac. Jumps are not over 2 feet high. I would like some help in cornering my machine. I will most likely get Holeshot XCT's or some other after market tire put up front but I want more stability. I was thinking about going 3/4 inch on each side, front and rear...

Any suggestions, experiences or comments?

I've never tried the spacers. But what I do know is, no matter what you do to Holeshots, the front tires always leak. Someone told me that they were too stiff to seal right. Me and four buddies have them, we own eight leaky tires between us. I finally got fed up with it and put Razrs on the front. Filled them the day I got them, and thats it. They get checked regularly, of course.

 

How are the Razrs?
Better than stock I suppose.
Fit on stock rims?
Know anyone riding Bandit fronts?

I like them, other than holding air, which I've yet to see a Holeshot front tire do, they are made of a softer compound, and seem to really grab in the corners. I highly recomend them.

 

Instead of spending big bucks on spacers, I turned the front wheels inside out. All you have to do is drill a new hole for the valve and turn the old valve around so that it faces into the tire. Now its a whole lot more stable and doesn't want to tip over when you get sideways on a hill. As far as tires, I put Fast Trekkers on the front and they handle very good and grab pretty well in 4WD.

 

I put ITP .190 Aluminum rims on my Scrambler and the offset is wider. I notice the difference in the turns while riding on a local motocross track.

 

One of the guys I go riding with has bandit fronts on his sport. He seems to get good grip and they can carve a good corner. I think they look ugly though I'd rather keep the stock ones.
Good enough for what I need them for.
