Anyone have a Diesel Polaris?

hiofcer,
The deisels were designed for use on the farms and ranches where deisel fuel is usually readily available. I really don't think mileage was the driving force. It's meant to be a work horse, not a 50 mile per weekend trail runner.

I don't own one but I have driven one.
Top speed was around 30 mph, 35mph down a hill.
-Power was nothing to brag about.
-Pulling torque was incredible.
We tied it to an unmoveable object and loaded the racks with about 1200lbs of people and it could still turn the wheels.
-The machine rode like a Caddilac(due to the weight).
-As for fuel consumption, we rode it pretty much wide open for an entire weekend and it used less than a gallon of fuel. I can't remember the total number of miles we put on it, but it was better than 40.
If you need a machine for utility work, have diesel fuel readily availible and don't have a need for speed it's really not a bad machine. It's just too slow and heavy for my tastes.
Just my 2 cents,
