I as you have read before I used a procom CDI box and it wiped my sprag clutch out. I bought one of their rectifiers about a month ago because I too heard they were ok. I receive the Rectifier installed it on my DS and and then checked it with my volt meter. It did not work as it was not charging my battery. It was bad right from the start. I sent it back for a refund. I don't think I will ever buy anything else from procom. Later, D

You definitely would know by now. To check it you need to get a volt meter. Put ends of the volt meter to the battery. It should read 12dc amps. Start the bike and the volt meter should go up to 13 to 14 dc amps. When you rev the bike up to around 3500 rpm the volts should go higher but should not be any higher than 15 amps. Later, D

I do not have one, but the magic box is supposed to keep the voltage steady and not allow the voltage to jump up and down, wich from what I heard is pretty common with a ds. Since it is'nt a cdi or a rectifier I do'nt see where it could hurt, but like I said I do'nt know for sure. I guess keep track of it with a voltmeter on a regular basis and maybe you could let us all know if it does help. RUSS

im not looking to test this thing out...i am not handy enough to fix whatever it breaks
i was hoping someone else tried it...plus it is made by procomm which means it already has a bad reputation
