Like the title says...
Just yesterday I bought a 4 wheeler I've been wanting for a long time. I won't use it much and it will mainly be used for trail riding so I think it's perfect.
Anyway...it's a 1997 Yamaha Big Bear 350 4X4 with a warn winch, warn 2 or 4 wheel drive select, and some crusty ITP rims. I bought it from a dealer up north for 2Gs out the door.
So far it starts, runs, brakes and everything perfect but I have one question about it.
Is it supposed to have a Hi/Lo feature on it?
I found this picture of another big bear(1991) on ebay that has a shifter for hi/lo on it. On my quad...there is just a hole. Nothing else.
Picture of Hi/lo stick shift...
Anyway...click on these links to see my new toy...

Thanks,
Jason

Maybe only the older big bears had that feature? So have you checked the whole quad? it looks like there is a brake cable or some sort of cable going by under the lever ( on the ebay pic). also i have ridden with an 02 and an 01 big bear and the 02 is a 350 and the 01 is a 400 and neither of them had low/high range so the ebay guy might of made that up or something. Also the two big bears i have ridden with were both 4x4 also.

One more thing...
since the little red button on the pictured lever is on the right, the lever is probably somewhere on the LEFT side of the quad since your left thumb is on the right so it would only make sence....
Also it looks like that might be end of the rack on the top of the pic and the brake cable so if you haven't looked yet, it looks like it might be on the left fender near the control panel/key.
