If anybody has been near the boarder of Tennessee and Alabama/ Tennessee and Georgia, and have pulled very heavy loads, they sure know how i felt when i was there! we were using a 150 ford and was pulling an aluminuim 10x20 inside demension trailer with a V700, raptor 700r, suzuki 400, and a drz 110 and it made it, but took hard work, especially going down hill. The trailer was way heavier than the vehicel and it seemed to rock the truck back and forth a lil bit. What i am trying to say is, what do you guys do in order to prevent this again? go for a bigger truck like a 2500 manual desiel? Thanks

Get trailer brakes or adjust the ones you have (If you have them anyway.) Just like on a big rig, when the trailer starts getting crazy, pull the trolley and hit the gas.

I would assume so. You did have the trailer loaded right, right? Not too much or too little toungue weight. Weight should be just about centered over axle, but more so towards the toungue. Probably 55/45 or 60/40

yeah, it was loaded. It was loaded with a V Force, Raptor 700r, suzuki 400 (Z 400), and my little brother's DRZ 110 dirtbike. My freind came along with me. All of the quads except the DRZ 110 was his.

some people have a really hard time with this concept
ever see that guy on the highway dragging his bumper pulling some sort of u-haul trailer that is waving back and forth
shuffle your quads until you get a tongue weight that is reasonable,,,,,aim for 100lbs,,,,use a house scale if you need to

Know a bunch of folks who pull 2 to 5 quad trailers with half-ton turcks, around in wicked mountains (Sierra Nevada) with no particular problems. Don't even leave the driveway without trailer brakes, however.
Know a bunch more who pull huge (heavy!) toy hauler trailers, but here a three-quarter or one-ton with a manual transmission and lots of engine is the ticket.
