I am going to guess that is not your clutch, but I could be wrong. I have a stock clutch in my bike and it does get overpowered, and start slipping. When my clutch slips I cant hear it, but I can feel it. With those type of noises I would take it to yamaha.

Does it move in 1st or 2nd? My 2nd gear went out about a month ago and it felt like it was bucking and stalling and sputtering and made NASTY grinding noises. My raptor would shift into first perfectly, 2nd was messed up and then would shift perfectly all the way to 5th. If you clutch is slipping, it would feel low on power and would slip in almost every gear. Hope this helps

If it is only happening when you are putting a lot of torque suddenly on the clutch/tranny, I would look at the clutch as the culprit first.

well, it started to lose power when i started to rejet the carbs like 5 or 6 times and it still wasnt right, so i rejeted it for a full pipe and put a hmf header on it and i was running a slip on,i think caliraptor knows exactly what im talking about but it doesnt not go into gear good it just has a lose of power and makes a nasty grinding noise
