Ok it is a 99 400 scram with a new moter head and cylinder the works it is all stock except a K&N filter running a 230 main. It has a sound like detenation, When just cruising along when you gas it it goes away also kinda sounds like piston slap. Now remember this moter is new from the base gasket up and was rebuilt be the dealer under warenty. What could could the noise be caused by or is it needeng more break in time this just dosent sound right. Could it be the carb air screw need adjusting? Air temp is a balmy 41 degrees out. Also the noise is just after you get into the pipe and alittle past. Whats the deal with this.

230 main jet? Isnt that a little heavy? But as for the probablem i have no clue, I would look in the ignition timing or spark plug maybe. Or maybe tighten cams, if app.
