I am a student at a Drexel University, and me and a group of students are working on a senior design project funded by the army. They are buying us a 2006 Yamaha Bruin 250cc, and it is our job to make it autonomous using DGPS, IMU's, Laser range finders and so on... The problem is that before they buy it for us, we have to prove to them that we have a good idea for the equipment configuration. We want to get an idea of the space openings in the ATV for wire and cable routing, mounting, etc. by looking at a CAD model. I called Yamaha, and as I expected they won't give out that information because it's proprietary. Does anyone know of any way to get a CAD drawing or any model of this or a similar vehicle for eductaional research purposes?

I would appreciate any help or direction from anyone. Thank you

I really doubt it. Try another manufacture, you'd probably have to sign a waiver? Thats alot of info to give out to an individual.
