Default Magura hyd clutch lever pull force

Johnnyairtime and anybody else who wants some sort of reference. I used a very expensive (borrowed from work) digital pull scale with a peak hold feature and pulled the lever about 10 times. I pulled it until the scale hardware hit the grip (aprox 3/4 of the way) and it measured 15.5 lbs at the peak point in travel ...you know, where it feels like it overcenters. Past that point it only required 11 lbs force.
For those who may be wondering why?!? I did this because in a different thread, Johnny was explaining that his new hydraulic clutch was not working correctly and there was excessive force to pull it. I am not saying that my clutch is perfect, i am just living up to my promise to do this for him....albeit a couple weeks late sorry bout that.
FYI, I have r/w 60% springs on a stock clutch. This weekend was the first time out with the hyd clutch and all I have to say is smooooooth. I think I'll keep mine.

Ya know JS I never got to this... I can't find a nice scale, or even a fish scale. Hmmm... (thinking).

I did survive 9 days in Glamis with my Hydro clutch working for my girlfriend. She liked it. And it had no real slippage that I could tell, as well it engaged just about right on the handle. I'm now happy with it.

I'll continue to see about a scale for the "pull-O-meter" and see what it comes to. I'm curious too.

9 days in Glamis??? (momentarily overcome by jealousy) must be nice. My wife has trouble with 5 day at Dumont.
No big deal on the pull test as long as you are happy with the clutch. I'm sure its working properly.

Well.. I guess it all depends on who your with, how they like your hobby... and your accomodations!

We're in a 30' Weekend Warrior with plenty of gas, water and food... showers every day if not twice...
That wouldn't be the case if we were in a tent or back of a truck... plus, my GF looooves the desert too!

I'm lucky that way. And ya.. pretty happy now with the clutch. At first... I was more a skeptic.

Accomodations??? Yah thats the funny part. SHE picked and later talked me into our 30' Vortex. I was happy with the 21 footer!!!
You are right when you say "its all about the person"...she gets tired of the dust.
