tires for my rancher 350 2x4
#1
I was just wonder if anybody can tell me if the maxxis bighorn tires would perform better then my stock tires from the factory.I dont do much mudding.Only if i have to while im hunting.I really like the looks of those tires. Also if i went to a bigger tire for ground clearance what size would be best without robbing my power.and would i need different rims.

Losing those balooney stock tires, is one if the first things I did on my Rancher. A couple of my buddies run Bighorns, and they are HEAVY like a brick! Way to heavy for a semi-sporty machine like the Rancher. Leave the Bighorns for the huge (and heavy!) machines that have horsepower to spare.
I wanted to keep thing LIGHT, so I went with Holeshot ATR's on light aluminum rims. Turns it into a whole different machine! If you go to the ITP web site, I think they give a weight comparison with the Maxis, and the difference is substantial.
