00 sportsman 500 electrical!
#1
Hi, posted earlier about some other problems, but now I'm trying to track down an electrical short on my 2000 sportsman 500.
It appears the ground is faulty, but I cannot find any breaks or problems with the ground wire. It runs from the rear light all the way to the front of the atv just under the front cover. The wire goes into a small circular module mounted on the frame. It appears other ground wires also go into this module. Could the module be the problem? The last owner "added" a ground but I want to track down the problem and fix it. Thanks!(By the way I don't know how to measure resitence with my multimeter!)

hey, one way to test it is use it.
simply get a light or something that requires 12 volts and a ground. plug the power into the battery and hook the ground into that module. if the light works, the module is good. good luck -PB500
