Default 2x4 foreman needs more power

I've been googling jet kits but w/ no luck. Any one know of a site that offers a kit for the 2wd foreman 500?

Highlifter sells a Dyno-Jet kit for 05 Foreman for 46.00 Plus shipping.I installed it in my 05 500 foreman,it revs up a lot quicker.Dont really know how much of a performance increase you get. Also installed a new end cap on the muffler 1"to 2" and you lose your spark arrestor. Also installed K&N with Pre-Filter.Rode all day saturday, like the way it rides better than the old foremans. The extra CCs honda put in the motor helped.

Is your 500 the 4x4, or is it the 2x4? Also, I'm not so sure I want the bike louder by taking off the end cap & removing the arrestor, quiet is good where I ride. I guess I could rejet carb, & install the K&N, see what happens. I seem to remember looking on Highlifter's site, & couldn't find the one for mine, maybe the rubicon has the same carb?

Brian, on highlifters site under dyno-jet kits go to the bottom of the page on the left, that is where the kit is located. When i took the end cap off of the muffler it is not real loud just a little deeper in tone.My 05 Foreman is a 2x4.Hope this helps.

Unless you go to a free flow exhaust, the jet kit and K&N won't be noticeable. An engine is basically just a big air pump. The key to more power is getting more air through the engine, thusly requiring more fuel, thusly resulting in more power. So if you provide the engine with ability to take more air in (free flow intake) and keep the same restricted exhaust, the result is the engine isn't flowing more air. It can't utilize the free flow intake because it's still stopped up on the exhaust side. So, it's sort of a matched set to see any noticeable increase. So you need to do it all to see any possible improvements. Even if you do all 3, you still may not get significant enough results.

Default 2x4 foreman needs more power

I just got a 500TM and I am a pretty big guy. Where should I start for more power? I took a jump first time out and the landing was pretty hard. Any ideas on suspension mods? Also, anyone know how many miles to a tank of gas? I have the 05 not the o6, I guess the tank got smaller in 06.? One more question, anyone know how many watts are left in reserve after the headlights and the brake is on? I need to know if I need the high output stater or not to run a winch, GPS, and spotlight. Any and all help would be great, thanx.
