Default AIR MIXTURE - PRED 500

I am setting up my carb for a new pipe I just got. The pipe mfg says the air mixture screw should be at 3 turns out. Problem is I cant seem to locate the screw. I thought it was on the outside of the carb. I already changed the jets and needle clip to their specs, just need to figure this part out.

Where is the air / mix screw?

Thanks,

Walt

It's on the bottom of the carb in the front, you have to remove the brass welsh plug first to get at it. Stock from the factory I believe it's turned out 21/2 turns.

Found the plug. Do I have to drill it out?

Thanks,

Walt

Yes you can drill it out or youcan grind off about 1/4 inch and the plug pops out.
