Honda Recon Blowby?
#1
Hi, I bought a 2005 Recon for my daughter this summer. I took the dipstick out while it was still running yesterday and a lot of air comes out of the hole. It only has about 200 miles on it. Can someone else try this on their Recon and let me know if it is normal. Thanks.

First....why did you take the dipstick out while it was running?
Second......that is perfectly normal for you to get pressure. I'm surprised you didn't get a face full of oil mist also. The crankcase breather function is to vent crankcase pressure. When the piston goes up and down, it creates compression on both sides......the combustion chamber side AND the crankcase side. The crankcase to vented to relieve the pressure, but you make a much larger vent so the pressure took the path of least resistance.
