Default Scrambler Wheel Size

I have a 2002 Scrambler that have 22" tires in the rear. I've been looking for 23" front tires on aluminum rims on ebay for a while for under $100 with shipping. Well I grew impatient and just purchased 22" for the fronts, thinking they would work just fine. My question is will it mess my differential up? Will it make my 4x4 act funny? I know stock tire size is 1" bigger in the front, but is that 1" really that important?

some will tell you not to do it, and otheres have ran smaller/bigger tires on the front no problem.

I beleive the only thing you will encounter is slowerer engagement of the AWD or maybe faster I can;t remeber which one happened with smaller tires
