Default 2004.5 500HO Hillard backlash adjustment screw

Now that we know there is an external hillard backlash adjustment screw, does anyone know what the symptoms of a backlash out of adjustment are? The reason I'm asking this is because my dealer had to rebuild my front diff (After he put in the wrong fluid during a service). When I picked it up it worked fine for about 11 miles, then it bound up. When I took it in to the dealer, he said he drained the fluid (twice) and adjusted the backlash. It works fine (for now), but I would like to know if it sounds like I may have a bad diff. (The backlash adjustment screw is just above the drain plug it's an allen screw, only on the 2004.5).

Thanks for any help.
