I had 5000 miles on my 04 700 efi when I traded for an 06 500 efi. Blew one belt and replaced tires on it. Everything else was original.

I've got 300 miles on the 500 and like it fine. Doesn't have the low end torque 0f my 700 but seems more nimble and about 50 # lighter. I didn't need all that power and I like the idea of a pull start even tho my two twins never failed me. Fuel consumption is looking good so far (24mpg) and should get even better. Had a couple of 500's before my 600 and 700 and liked them a lot so I am back to a single..
