Clutch ? for Sportsman 700EFI
#1
Hello everyone.... I know there are many posts about clutch kits, but I have to ask this question.
I'd like to have a clutch that works well for plowing and towing in low gear as well as getting as much power to the ground for hill climbing and good power to the ground coming out of turns. I do a lot of fast trail riding and hill climbing in sand and coal. It seems like once I hit the hill on a long pull the power isn't the same once it really gets under load (maybe its the 850 lb. machine and i'm asking too much of it
I hear that the clutch kits can do wonders for these quads, but I don't want to sacrafice low speed stability for plowing and towing.
I don't care too much about top speed. The stock top speeds is fine for me.
Thanks if you took the time to read this and respond!

You could go with a clutch kit if you are not looking to splurge on an 800 clutch. I have a 700efi and put a BMP Supertip Clutch kit in mine and am very impressed. IT has taken some tuning, but with the right spring (still looking for) and the weights the way you want, you can have all of the above and then some.

I think it would work on a 500. The 500's have the same EBS primary as my 700 and the 800 primary work on my 700 great. If you look at the 2006 500efi it comes with the same primary as the 700 & 800.
