A friend of mine has a set of hauler tires from a 250r. The size appears to be 20x10-8, its hard to read because of how it is made. Would these work on my 400ex?

Not unless you have 8 inch wheels they wont work.In case you didnt know the last nuber is the height of the rim in inches.If its stock I think it should have 9 inch like my 2002 but to be sure just look at your current tires and the last number is probally an 8 or 9.If its 8 itll work.I know you can fit up to, if not more than,22x11-9's on a stock rim since thats what I have on mine.Hope this helps.
