I HAVE AN 04 ATP 330 AND AN 04 SP 700 CARB.
IS THER ANY ALTERNATIVE OILS OR FILTERS TO USE ON THESE MACHINES. BOTH OF THEM ONLY HAVE 300 MILES ON THEM AND THE ORIGINAL OIL. MY BUDDY SAYS TO GO TO NAPA. IS THIS TRUE?

 

Im sure there is just do a search for it. I get my oil filters by Emgo on ebay and use amsoil oil. it cost me less than half of what the dealer charges and it works just as good. Actuall better for the oil and the filter looks the same when I am done using it. this is on a predotor though.

 

You can get your oil and filters from any auto parts store.

Fram and Wix make the filters and I am sure other automotive filter companies do also.

You can use any good synthetic motor oil in both your engine and trans.

There is NO need to buy the expensive oil and filters from Polaris.

Polaris oil is not as good as the good name brand synthetic automotive oil.

Many polaris parts such as u-joints, bearings and light bulbs can be bought at auto parts stores MUCH cheaper than at a Polaris dealer.

 

WE'LL I TALKED TO THE LOCAL NAPA STORE AND FOR A NAPA OIL AND FILTER IT IS THE SAME PRICE AS THE POLARIS DEALER 5.95 PER QUART AND 10.00 PER FILTER.

STILL A 30.00 OIL CHANGE

 

That is what you get for fooling around with NAPA.

I can buy a good quality Wix oil filter for $5 and a Fram for $4.

Good synthetic oil such as Castrol Syntec can be bought from $4 to $5 a qt.

Where do I find this?

Any auto parts store or even WalMart.

As an auto ans ATV mechanic with almost 30 years experience one thing I have learned for sure is NAPA is the most expensive auto parts store in the US.
