first off, GNCC Racing, MX racing or what? if you love your Raptor, than id stick with that area and take a look at 5 different quads
Raptor 700R
YFZ450
LT-450
Pred 500 tld
Outlaw
ive made this list up because i dont really know what your going to race, but as far as a brand new quad, take a look at those

i'm not 100% on what style racing yet but i love going fast so i might consider gncc or a flat track style racing. i would like something faster, lighter, and with a lower center of gravity than my raptor and some thing with a higher top speed the raptor is limited to just 75mph

i really like those four quads but i dont think i would want to get into the outlaw just yet or untill it is out for a while to see how polaris's new suspension works out.

no problems at all, as long as you treat them good and change the oil and maintain it, they'll never break down on you. i have a 2000 sportsman 500 H.O. thats worked its entire life and been at redline for sustained times of 15 minutes and the only thing thats ever broken was a bolt on the Tie-Rod and it was my own fault. my sportsman 800 which i lovingly ran hard for a total of 11 months before i sold it to get my predator blew a belt at 350 miles, but it had a hard life of street use (illegal) and pounding rivers up to the racks with no problem.
my predator's only problem has been a cracked (and broken) clamp for the front right fender connecting to the gas tank. of course ive delt with my dealer on this and they've orderd me a new front fender no charge, and no hassle and it should be here to pick up and mount friday
