Default 250r Kickstart

I was wondering why our 250r is so hard to kickstart. It takes like 30 kicks to start up and my dad is getting pissed off at that thing because of it. Is their ne way to make it easier or electric start or ne thing?

Check for good spark and fuel delivery. If these check out, it could just be the way you're kicking it. Try kicking four times slowly to prime the cylinder then really jumping on the kicker. I can start any of our 250R's by doing this in 1-2 cycles, even after sitting for a while.

You have some kind of problem because it only takes me 5 at the most to start my 250r and thats with all the motor upgrades.

i do the same as nicname. i push kicker slowly forward for 2-3 cycles, let it come up and give it one good kick and it fires on first or second try like this. once running its always first kick afterwards. check your compression too. when a bike needs a rebuild, they are harder to start also.
