Never been there never done that! Guess first thing would be to get a service manual (Polaris) and go from there. Did you check my earlier thread for the parts thread? $250.00 seemed like a pretty right price for the front diff? Take Care!

Is the front diff really toast? If it's just a bad amature plate or broken roller cage you can save a ton of money if you DIY. A shop manual will help diagnose the failure. I can't even imagine how much it would cost if you had your Polaris dealer rebuild your front diff. $$$

I checked out the website you were talking about and $250 does sound great, but i have a 02 700 and the parts that are on their website are for a 04 or 05. Will this still work on mine? It looks the same.

i checked it out on polarisindustries.com and the part numbers are the same so I am going to order it this week. I tore mine apart and all the bearings are junk and the gear box was packed full of mud. It is cheaper to by this new one than to rebuild the one I got. Thanks for the help.

You would be better off looking on ebay. I just got one for my brother inlaws 600 and it had 135miles and paid $275. It would have cost about 500-600 to rebuild and 700 for a new one. Just the rollar cage is $200.
